Keeping it up…

26 Sep

Throughout this whole “Ease into 5k” program Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday have been my running days.  Well, yesterday was the first Tuesday in a long while that I didn’t have to get out there and run since I finished to program on Saturday!  After a long day of work and some mandatory TV viewing lined up for the evening (season premier of New Girl…  I freaking LOVE that show!), I thought it might be the perfect day to reward all of my hard work with some rest.  But the oddest thing happened.  The more I thought about not running, the more I wanted to do it!  Yes…  wanted to run!  (Who am I?!)  So, out I went…

First post-C25K run.

I decided just to take it easy, and it turned out to be a great run!  I’m still a little worn out at the end of the 30 minutes (mostly because of a big hill, I think), but I can definitely get through it without getting all winded, which is amazing.  Since 30 minutes doesn’t feel like death, I think next week I’ll try running for distance instead.  Despite what my GPS says, I don’t think I’ve actually gotten through a full 5k running.

And in other news…  I’m absolutely LOVING this fall weather!!  Sleeping with the windows open…  a cool breeze…  cause to wear hoodies again…  changing leaves…  I just love it!  And now having cooler weather to run in makes me love it even more.  :)
